The Lumeneye range of high definition, underwater subsea laser projectors have
been specifically designed to bring measurement capability and image scaling to both digital stills
photography and video survey footage. An optimised Class 2M safety laser design
makes most rapid and effective integration aboard an ROV.
Multiple lasers arranged around a camera at a given spacing, project intuitive references onto an image of any surface. These are used to scale both distance and area measurements. Line projectors also reveal surface topography; essential for the early recognition of corrosion pitting, holes and damage.
In both pipe and umbilical lay-survey operations these lasers are used as visual alignment tools; referencing multiple-point of view video footage with acoustic profile data; enhancing the quality of survey data.
